Highlights include Wiñayhuayna, Inti Punku “Gate of the Sun”, “The House of the Guardian” with stunning views of Machu Picchu and the Machu Picchu Sanctuary and its captivating sunset and sunrise moments. We are an authorized local travel agency and operator in Cusco, we offer daily departures, although it is recommended to book in advance due to the Inca Trail visitor limit.

We start our day early (around 04:00 hours) with your guide picking you up at your hotel in Cusco (or at an agreed meeting point). We head to the Ollantaytambo train station, starting our train journey at approximately 06:10 hours.
As we drive through the Sacred Valley, we head to the starting point of the Inca Trail, known as "Chachabamba" or Km 104 (2,150 m / 6,927 ft). Around 07:00 hours, we will be at the "INRENA Machu Picchu" checkpoint, where we must show our original passport and immediately begin the half-day Inca Trail, up to Machu Picchu.
During this hike, we explore the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna (2,650 m / 8,747 ft) located in a lush cloud forest. After a hearty lunch, we continue our hike for another two hours, reaching Intipunku or “the Sun Gate” (2730 m / 9007 ft), from where we will be able to appreciate the first impressive views of the incredible citadel of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains.
We will enter Machu Picchu through the “Guardian’s House” sector and take classic photos. Your guide will delve into the history and mysteries of this incredible Inca city, allowing you to capture essential and renowned photographs.
Afterwards, we will take a bus to the town of Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes, and we will transfer you to your hotel.
Upon arrival at 5 pm, we will have time to enjoy a delicious dinner, after which we will settle in for the night.
On this last day, we will have breakfast at 5:00 am and go to our buses at the Aguas Calientes station. We will travel by bus to the city of Machu Picchu Inca, to enter you must present your original passport, entrance ticket and student ID if you chose this option. Then, your guide will take you through the surroundings of Machu Picchu and the various important sites, ruins and temples between 8:00 and 10:00.
In addition, you will have enough time to do on your own one or more of the following activities (not included in the price):
Climb the Huayna Picchu mountains (2 hours round trip) or Machu Picchu mountain* (3 hours round trip) to enjoy stunning views from above.
Another optional activity in Aguas Calientes might include visiting the new local museum or indulging in a relaxing bath in the hot springs.
Having enjoyed the magnificent lost city of the Incas, you will use your included bus ticket to descend to Aguas Calientes. Then we will board the "Expeditions" train back to Ollantaytambo, finally the bus will be waiting to take you to Cusco. End of your trip.
The return time from Aguas Calientes is typically 02:55 PM (depending on availability it could change). You can change your train schedule and arrive in Cusco earlier or later, depending on the activities scheduled on your trip, by prior arrangement.
